This Privacy Policy explains how Eat.Read.Love. collects, uses and discloses personal information when you visit eatreadlove.me, purchase products or services, use our personalized features, or contact us.

Information we collect and why

  • Orders and customer support: Names, contact information, billing and shipping addresses, order details, payment information processed through checkout, and messages you send us. We use this information to process payments, fulfill orders, provide services, respond to requests, prevent fraud, and maintain business records.
  • Website activity: Device and browser information, IP addresses, referral information, pages and products viewed, timestamps, cookie or visitor identifiers, and interactions with recommendations, videos, links and the cart. These support site operation, security, analytics, personalization, attribution and marketing.
  • Birth-chart previews and readings: The name, email address, birth date, birth time and birthplace you submit, associated location coordinates where applicable, and chart results or interpretations. We use these to calculate and deliver the requested preview or reading. Preview submissions are also recorded in our leads system. Birth details and chart information may be attached to your cart and order when you purchase a reading.
  • Questions for readings: Questions you enter into product or offer forms can be saved as cart or order attributes so we can provide the requested reading. Please avoid supplying information about other people unless you have permission.
  • Selene AI chat: Messages you send, generated replies, a session identifier, any email address you provide, and related product interactions. Messages are sent to Anthropic to generate responses and conversation records are stored through Supabase. If you separately choose to receive email marketing in Selene, your email address is passed to Omnisend for product news and offers. This choice is optional and is not required to receive your discount code. Please avoid entering sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
  • Personalized recommendations: Our For You features use visitor identifiers and browsing or interaction history to select products and offers. Video and recommendation events can include the page, device category, product or video identifier, and event time. Attribution information may also be attached to cart items or orders.
  • Subscriptions and reviews: Contact details and preferences provided through subscription forms, and reviews or media you choose to submit. We use these to send communications and operate review features.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies, browser local storage, session storage and pixels. These technologies serve different purposes: essential store functions and security; remembering preferences; measuring site use; personalization; and marketing. Browser storage is not limited to cookies.

Our custom features use identifiers such as erl_fy for visitor-related events, erlfy_* entries for For You visit and session information, and sln_session and sln_visited for Selene session and visit information. Other store integrations use their own technologies.

Where a cookie banner or privacy-choice interface is available, use it to accept, decline or change the purposes offered. Available controls depend on your region and the feature. You can also manage cookies and website storage in your browser. Blocking essential technologies may affect checkout or other requested functions. Clearing storage does not delete records already received by us or our providers; contact us to request deletion of those records.

You may request an opt-out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, or withdraw consent, by contacting us at the address above. You can also enable Global Privacy Control in a supported browser to communicate your preference against sale or sharing. This is different from the older Do Not Track setting, which does not automatically change all site processing. Contact us if you need assistance exercising your choices.

Providers and disclosures

Shopify hosts our store and processes information needed for commerce, checkout and related services. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for Shopify's own processing and available rights.

Our custom services use Supabase for hosting and data storage. Selene uses Anthropic for AI responses. Birth-chart calculations use Astrology API at astrology-api.io. We also use integrations for email and SMS, recommendations, reviews, analytics, attribution and site protection. Integrations present on the site include Omnisend, Attentive, Rebuy, Loox, Judge.me, Looksy, RealTimeStack, Google, Meta and Negate. Information each provider receives depends on the feature you use, its configuration and applicable privacy choices; listing a provider does not mean every visitor's information is sent to every provider.

We may disclose information to payment, fulfillment and other service providers to carry out your requests, to comply with legal requirements, to protect rights and prevent fraud, or in connection with a business transfer. Advertising-related disclosures of identifiers and browsing activity can constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under some privacy laws even when money is not exchanged.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Shopify processes information from your visits and purchases together with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify to provide enhanced services, including personalization, store improvements and advertising. We share information with Shopify and other providers that may process it in other countries. You can learn about Shopify's processing and exercise available choices through the Shopify privacy portal.

Retention and international processing

Retention depends on the record and its purpose, including fulfillment and support needs, accounting and legal obligations, fraud prevention, and resolving disputes. Order records, preview leads, chat records and analytics records can have different retention needs. Contact us for information about a particular record or to request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.

We operate in the United States and use providers that may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections can differ between countries. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to a particular international transfer.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using their unsubscribe link. Follow the opt-out instructions in SMS messages to stop those messages. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent necessary communications about an order or service you requested.

Depending on your location and the law applicable to our processing, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent and appeal a decision about a privacy request. We may need to verify identity for some requests and may retain information where an exception applies. Exercising an applicable privacy right will not result in unlawful discrimination.

For EEA and UK residents, applicable rights also include data portability and complaining to a supervisory authority. In the UK, see the Information Commissioner's Office. Where applicable, processing bases include providing a requested contract or service, legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and business administration, and consent for activities that require it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

The site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

YOUTUBE API SERVICES

Eat.Read.Love. Inc. uses YouTube API Services in an internal tool, "ERL Scheduler", that our own staff use to manage, schedule and upload videos and thumbnails on the YouTube channels we own (Eat Read Love Inc, ERL Express Tarot, ERL Timeless Reading, Tarot and Astrology, Money Manifestation). By using ERL Scheduler you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy also applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

What we access: only our own channels' video list, video titles, descriptions, privacy status, publish times and thumbnails, through the YouTube Data API after a channel owner signs in with Google. We do not access, collect or store data from other YouTube users or viewers.

How we use and store it: sign-in tokens are kept in the encrypted macOS Keychain on one company computer and are never shared. A log of the changes we make (video ID, title, publish time) is kept on company storage for our own records. We do not sell or share YouTube data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Revoking access and deletion: a channel owner can remove ERL Scheduler's access at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. To have the stored log and tokens deleted, email contactsupport@salbiadora.com; we delete them within 7 days. Stored YouTube data that is no longer needed is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.

INSTAGRAM MESSAGES

When you comment a keyword on one of our Instagram posts or send us an Instagram direct message, we receive your Instagram username, your display name, whether you follow our account, and the messages you send. We use this information only to reply to you and to recommend products, and an automated assistant may answer on our behalf. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

You can ask us to delete this information at any time by emailing contactsupport@salbiadora.com. If an Instagram account disconnects our app, the conversations and settings we hold for that account are deleted automatically.

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Please contact us if a notice at a collection point is unclear or you need more information before using a feature.
